Life in slow motion
Somehow it don't feel real
David Grey

One of my kids' moms died today. He's forced to move to Rhode Island to live with his dad. She was 39. He's only 11. I don't know what I would do without my mom. I would be so lost. I can't stop crying...for him....for her....for the way life is for my kids and the fact that there's only so much we can do to change it.
"You'll always be my student," I told him today as he left.
"I know," he said.
"So you better do well. I expect it."
He smiled. Laughed.
I just held back tears.
